Artist statement


When I grew up, I just liked to watch television and follow what actors or comedians said. Whenever I imitated them, Friends really love it and they asked doing it more for me, so I always tried to not miss trendy variety shows, dramas or movies. I really liked their reactions. When I showed what I've practiced it and they like it, I felt the joy from their feedback. Especially, I've got influence from Korean movie which is 'Tazza: The High Rollers'. When I watched first time this movie, I got so much impression from this and after this, I've watched 20 times over in this movie. This movie is affected that much for me. I imitated  this movies scripts and showed to my friends. I've had dream to be actors in the future, but I've had still a small size of dreams in my deep down mind. For now, I just want to work in part of movie industry or media industry.


As I think about the media, media is enormous effect to people. People are crying or smile because of media effect. Some people think media reality is real in life. That's why Adults should limit to watch T.V program for children. When I was in college in Korea, my major was totally different from now. However, after military service, I've changed my mind and decided to come to NYC for studying specific media. As you know, this city is really specialized to media. There are a lot of broadcasting systems and radio station. While I am in college, I want to be piled my experiences about this field and learn any technologies as much as I can even like internship programs. In the future, I'd like to be good affection to other people and give impressions to them in media industry.

Reflections : machine stops

Set in a world where humans live underground and rely on giant machines to provide their needs, the story predicted technologies such as instant messaging and the Internet. This story describes a world in which most people have lost the ability to live on the surface of the Earth. Each individual now lives in a standard cellar that meets all physical and mental needs with a universal machine. Travel is allowed, but it is unpopular and almost unnecessary. Communication takes place through a kind of instant messaging / videoconferencing system that allows people to focus on their only activity: sharing ideas and knowledge.
